Snitch is a new crime drama about a father who goes to desperate measures to get his wrongly accused son released from jail. It stars Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock), Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, and Emmy Award winner Barry Pepper.
This movie was surprisingly good. I didn’t expect much from it…I was dead wrong! The plot is very rich as well as the characters. I liked the fact that it wasn’t a typical drug movie and that it had great suspense sequences. I also liked that the supporting actors held their own ground with great performances against some top players.
For the first time, Dwayne Johnson actually loses a part of himself in the role. He may be ready to take his acting career to the next level after this action thriller.

In this dark, action-horror fantasy movie based on the classic tale,Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters delivers! Starring Jeremy Renner as Hansel and Gemma Arterton as Gretel, the vigilantes kill witches for a living and embark on a journey to find out how their parents died in a small backwoods town.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It is action-packed from the beginning scene until the end. Packed with great performances by both Renner and Arterton, as well as Famke Janssen, you will not want to miss it! If you are looking for a fantasy action film with comedy and suspense, then go see this movie.

Kathryn Bigelow and her screenwriter Mark Boal (from Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker) team up again to film a movie based on the manhunt for Osama bin Laden. I enjoyed the movie, though it was a bit too long for my taste. Kathryn directs with such passion and intensity, that you can’t help but to feel like you are there with the rich characters she develops.
The movie actually followed the true story quite well. It was intriguing, suspenseful, and definitely action-packed. Best Actress nominee Jessica Chastain delivers yet another powerful acting performance, along with her co-stars Jason Clarke and Emmy-award winning actor Kyle Chandler (of Friday Night Lights fame).
If you enjoy Bigelow’s movies, then add this to your must-see list because she delivers yet again. It definitely deserved its Best Picture nomination at this year’s Academy Awards.
Grade: A
Honestly I’m glad this is on Political Pop because I hate stupid stories like this. However, I do digress. His playlist consists of songs like “Clique” by Kanye West and “Pumped Up Kids” by Foster The People. I don’t know how I feel about a senator’s music downloads is supposed to effect my life but hey it’s a story so I’m posting it!

Allegedly, the person in custody is a student at the school. No details have been given about the student at this time. According to sources, there were two persons wounded, a 14 year old female student and a teacher. The student has been reported as being “alert, conscious and breathing” as she was being transported to Grady Hospital. All uninjured students are reportedly being transported via bus to a nearby church, where parents have been asked to pick their children up.
